I spend a lot of time and effort into building this project, and I would love it if you smash the blue "support" button. He sets out to make his dreams come true, and soon he and a young human chef named Alfredo Linguini end up working together in a race to foil the schemes of Chef Skinner. I hope these little details will please a lot of fans! Ratatouille is set in Paris, France, and focuses on a rat named Remy who dreams of being a chef. I also create a custom street sign, that I called "Rue Ratatouille". Indeed, on the rooftop you can see a mini "rat restaurant" scene (refers to the very end of the movie). I have also added some easter eggs in the build. In the end, the project contains 2853 bricks with 4 minifigs: Linguini Alfredo, Colette Tatou, Skinner, Anton Ego and a micro fig of Rémy! Honestly, I didn't expect to create something that big, but I was so hyped during the build that I literally can't stop to build.

But because most scenes of the movie take place there, I opted to make a reduced version of the kitchen including a small restaurant part.

Because the kitchen is huge and the restaurant too. I really wanted to build a licensed set about this story but I didn't know which part of the movie I had to reproduce. A crazy and huge project, but undoubtedly something I would love to spend hours on it. These emotions led me to create a LEGO mini-figure scale set of the kitchen of the movie. Certainly, because it was the first time I saw something different, something more poetic and original in an animated feature. Continue reading Talk to your kids about. Granted, the world of haute French cuisine is an unlikely setting for a kid-friendly flick, but Bird makes it irresistible. I can’t describe my feelings when I first saw the animation: a mix of excitement and enchantment. But Ratatouille, like director Brad Bird 's family adventure The Incredibles, is the rare animated film that could just as easily captivate an audience full of childless adults. Winner of the Best Animation Oscar (2008), this movie quickly managed to gain our hearts and to stand as a masterpiece of animation.Īs a french Disney Pixar lover, I wouldn't have missed this beautiful movie for anything! And when I watched the movie, I fall in love with this story. This happened one day to Jan Pinkava and Brad Bird, the fathers of « Ratatouille ». Indeed, life is complex and it happens sometimes that human beings have strange ideas, which eventually lead to genius thoughts. But even though this Pixar favorite spreads plenty of optimism while telling an extraordinary under-rodent story, there are plenty of aspects a young audience might miss - and here are things only adults notice in Ratatouille. What’s more paradoxical of a rat cooking in a five-star restaurant? For sure nothing, because no one would even think about that. This magical rat (after all, he can understand humans, is lauded for his smelling abilities, and can cook) not only changes his own life, but he betters the lives of his family and friends, such as Alfredo Linguini and Colette Tatou. Remy is far different from his family, as his four-legged companions eat for sustenance and Remy eats for taste, pleasure, and passion. Even if you get over the fact that rats can't follow their dreams, rodents are a nightmare scenario for restaurant owners. But against all odds, Remy relocates to Paris and becomes a magician in the kitchen, teaching audiences that a great artist can come from anywhere. And yeah, that's an incredibly strange plot. Set in Paris, Ratatouille focuses on a rat named Remy who follows his dreams of becoming a chef.

Ratatouille manages to take an odd tale and spread a beautiful message.
